Manchester United are reportedly prepared to table a €60m (£51m) offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Andre Onana is currently Man United's first-choice shot-stopper, but he has made a number of high-profile errors since joining the club from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023.

As a result, the Red Devils could look to bring in a new goalkeeper to either replace Onana or provide him with competition for the number one spot.

According to Fichajes, Man United are weighing up a surprise move to sign PSG's Donnarumma when the transfer window opens this summer.

Man United willing to pay £51m for Donnarumma

The report claims that the Red Devils are one of the clubs 'closely monitoring' the Italy international ahead of the summer market.

There is a suggestion that Man United are willing to present a €60m (£51m) offer for a goalkeeper who is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract.

Donnarumma's uncertain contract situation has also alerted Spanish giants Real Madrid and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The Italian would have certainly impressed his potential suitors with his performances in both legs of the recent Champions League semi-final tie against Arsenal.

How realistic is a summer move?

Donnarumma played a key role as PSG secured their place in the final, leaving them one game away from winning their first-ever Champions League trophy.

The Italian will undoubtedly be focused on PSG's bid to add the Champions League and Coupe de France to the Ligue 1 title and the French Super Cup that they have already won this season.

However, the 26-year-old could have a big decision to make over his future once the curtain comes down on the 2024-25 campaign.

As it stands, Donnarumma and PSG are yet to reach an agreement over a deal to extend his stay at Parc des Princes.

If they are unable to finalise a new contract, PSG may have to consider a summer sale rather than risk letting him leave on a free in 2026. body check tags ::
